Job 3:2-4

²Thus^[a] Job spoke up^[b] and said,

³“Let the day perish on which I was born,
and the night that said, ‘A man-child is conceived.’
⁴Let that day become^[c] darkness;
may God not seek it from above,
nor may daylight shine on it.
